The Hernando County Alumni Chapter (Hernando Bulls)
is an official affiliated chapter of the University of South Florida
Alumni Association and is the chapter for Hernando County and the Nature
Coast region of West Florida. By way of the USF Alumni Association the
Hernando County Alumni Chapter is considered a tax exempt organization.
The Hernando Bulls exist to support the mission of fostering a mutually beneficial, lifelong relationship between USF and its alumni; to inspire loyalty and pride among current and future alumni; to advocate for excellence in teaching, research, public service; and to make Hernando County into Bulls Country by dominating and out shining all other alumni chapters operating within Hernando County, Florida.
We seek to do this by gathering together at regularly scheduled meetings, social events, watch parties, fielding local Hernando County intramural sports teams, fielding a float in the local Brooksville Christmas Parade, and becoming a vocal and recognized member of the Hernando County community.
Currently our impact upon the Hernando County community is limited, but we seek to change that over the next few years by becoming more engaged in our area by volunteering with respect-a-Bull local charities and reaching out to the local community via outreach programs. Eventually we hope to establish a local Hernando County scholarship fund, which once established will provide scholarships to Hernando County students planning to attend the University of South Florida.
We invite you to join us as we cheer the South Florida Bulls to victory and applaud our beloved USF as it takes its rightful place amongst America's elite research institutions of higher learning.
